Hi- I have some vinyl sheeting that is 37 Mil thick. I know that 1 mil=1 thousandths of an inch, so 37 mils will be 37 thousandths of an inch. However, what measurement is 37 thousandths of an inch, on the measuring tape? Say like 1/16 " ??
Thank you Jann |

1/32 in is 31.25 mils, so that's fairly close. You're not going to be able to measure down to the nearest mil by eyeballing a tape measure.
Measurements like that are typically done with calipers or micrometers. |
