I need to convert the following:

To convert nanogram/milliliter to milligram/deciliter you divide by 10000

I get the same as Robert, he's always right.

If you want to know how to do it from first principles, there are 1,000,000ng in 1mg, and there are 100mL in 1dL

you have 0.143730mg/mL.

You want to know how many mg are in 100mL:

0.143730 x 100 = 14.3730mg/dL

please convert 1000mg/dL to ng/ml

1000 mg/dL x 1000000 ng/mg x 1 dL/100 mL = 10^7 ng/mL

(but better written as 10 mg/mL to avoid overly large numbers)

30 ng/mL x 1 mg/1E6 ng x 100 mL/1 dL = 0.003 mg/dL

Having a lot of trouble with this calculation, i'm not too sure if this is the right place to post but.....im losing my mind.

I have a stock powder of nisin. (5g of it)

I need to get a final concentration of nisin of 10ng/ml.

Im pretty sure i have to do a number of dilutions (because of workable volumes etc)

My final volume will be 10 mls. (so 10mls of 10ng/ml nisin)

How much powder do i weigh out and into what volume should i dissolve it in? How many dilutions should i use?

Any help would be much appreciated!
