The USDA nutrient data lab reports Vitamin D in IU. The National Academy of Sciences reports the amount of Vitamin D in micrograms. Do you know what IU is and how it can be converted to micrograms?

That is different conversion for every type of drug or vitamin.
I did some searching, and found that for Vitamin D, 1 IU = 0.025 microgram IU * 0.025 = micrograms That is only for Vitamin D, and while I found that information on a trusted site, I am not sure it is correct. |

What about Vitamin A?

The daily need of Vit. A is 1 mg which are 1000 micrograms which are 40 000 IUs. Therefore when spoken about Vit. A there is never referred to in micrograms or IU (= International units).
