How many Kanals in one acre?

Hi everybody, can anyone help me out to calculate that how many Kanals are in One acre of land???Thanks

I found this definition:

a traditional unit of land area in Pakistan, equal to 20 marlas. Under British rule the marla and kanal were standardized so that the kanal equals exactly 605 square yards or 1/8 acre; this is equivalent to about 505.857 square meters.

If this is the definition, then 8. It is 5445 ft²

The above answer is correct for most of India as well, and is based on 180 square karam, where a karam is a unit of 66" or 5.5' (one third of a rod).

However, according to this, http://punjabrevenue.nic.in/lr6.htm
(see table near end), there are some areas where the karam was NOT standardized and has lengths varying from 54-60". There the kanal is still 180 sq. karam, but smaller because the karam is smaller. Four different non-standard values are given, and in those provinces, a kanal would be only 3645 to 4500 ft² instead of the standard 5445 ft². In other words, don't believe a kanal until it is surveyed in "real" units, square meters as both countries are metric now.

1 acre has 8 kanal, 1 kanal has 20 marla, 1 marla has 30.25 sq yrd,

spouse if i have 20k 4M how many acres it will be and we will calculate it.
