Default Convert Aggregate Base Course from SF to Tons

We have 12,000 SF of Aggregate Base Course (ABC) 12" Thick.

How many tons is this?

Because it is a foot thick, that's 12000 ft or 444.5 yd.

Weight in tons will depend on the density of the crushed stone used. It can vary. I'm guessing 1.3 - 1.4 US tons per cubic yard, but some materials could be outside that range. Say 600 tons, more or less.
