Hi everyone!!
This is my first time in this forum, so hello again to everybody! I need the formula to convert microMolar into micrograms per mililiter. Example: how many ug/mL is 10 uM of A? (Molecular Weight of A= 300) thank you and have a nice day! |

Don't know if you still need this but the answer is: A molecular weight of 300 means a 1M solution is 300 grams in 1 Litre So 1M = 300g in 1 Litre 1mM = 300mg in 1 litre 1uM= 300ug in 1 litre Multiply by ten to get a 10 uM solution ie 3000ug in 1 litre Divide by 1000 to get the amount in mls ie 3 ug in 1ml So 3ug/ml is the equvilent of 10uM for a molecular weight of 300 Hope that makes sense!! |

1M = 300g in 1 Litre 1mM = 300mg in 1 litre 1uM= 300ug in 1 litre all give you 300 as its value? also how can you convert bk from ug/ml to uM for example, 10ug/ml how much will it be in mM? |

Note in the original post that the molecular weight (also the molar mass) was given as 300. More generally, 1 M means 1 mole per liter, and you need the molar mass to convert to grams per liter.

ah! i see now... wud it be right to assume tht molar mass is same as molecular weight? if so, then how will u convert 10ug/ml to mM if the molecular weight is 6121?

10 µg/mL is also 10 mg/L 10 mg/L x 1 mol/6121 g = 1.63 µmol/L = 1.63 µM |
