Question Converting mg to ml

What is the calculation to convert mg's to ml's? For example: Solumedrol comes as 120mg/ml. How many ml will you need to give the patient weighing 85lbs and the order is 20mg IV q 12 hr?

OK, it is not 100% active ingredient, it is a solution. Your solution is mixed to a strength of 120 mg of active ingredient in 1 mL of solution. If you need to administer 20 mg of a 120mg/mL solution you need to administer 0.167 mL

Sometimes dosing is milligrams per kilogram of body weight, in which case you'd have to calculate the correct dose, but here you are told 20 mg (or perhaps I don't fully understand the notation.)
