i have to take 5mg for every kg of weight (130 lbs) pills are 100mcg each. what do i take?

PLEASE take a trip to your doctor. The calucation leaves you taking 1000's of pills, so something is wrong with the dosage, or with your understanding of it.

Provided you want ppm on a weight over weight basis, 0.1 ppm.
This is because 1 kg = 1 million mg.

Hi David, maybe you are looking at the problem backwards.

I gather your results from the solution are 0.073ppm (assume mg/L) Fe.

You only have 50mL, so you have to work out the proportion of Iron in that volume: 50/1000 x 0.073mg = 0.00365mg.

The amount of iron in your sample is 0.00365mg. Now you need to work out how much there is in 1kg: 1000/0.5 x 0.00365 = 7.3mg/kg

If given .1 mg/kg of water content in fuel, and I need to convert that to PPM, how would I go about doing that?
