I have a link to Photobucket where I posted a picture of the formulas that you want for standard electrical formulas used for power consumption calculations. I don't want to go to all of the trouble to write them all out but being a newbie here I am unable to post up the link.

So just copy and paste the link that I have typed out below. Take out the spaces in the "http" part of the url

If you need any help using what we supplied just let us know.

Question Re: Horsepower to Amps

The formulas are helpfull if you know what all of the abreviations stand for. Such as:
"I"
"E"
"PF"
"EFF"

If you are a "layman" trying to use, it does not give you enough info.

! HP = 745.7 W
(note that both are measures of mechanical power out. No machine is 100% efficient, and an electric motor will need more than 745.7 W of input power (perhaps 1000 W) to produce 745.7 W of output (the rest goes to heat).
