Default Cubic Meter to Square meter

I have 9081.11 cubic meters and I need to know what the area in m2 is. Can you help. Is there a simple formula or a converter on the net to use?

That depends on the thickness.

cubic meters / thickness in meters = square meters

It is going to depend on shape details, which may be complex for a ship. For any shape with a floor area and [u]vertical[/] sides, volume = area height. If the sides are not vertical, this statement is not true.

For non-vertical sides, the area is different at different depths making volume computation tricky. With enough shape and dimensional detail, it can be estimated pretty well.
