I need to convert metric tons of biodiesel to Million liters. How do I convert for example 1,029 metric tons of biodiesel into million liters?
I know that the density of biodiesel is 0.88 kg/L, if that's a factor. Would appreciate your help. |

first, you would convert Tons to Kilograms. we know that 1 metric ton = 1 000 kilograms
therefore 1 029 metric tons = 1 029 000 kilograms then convert .88 kg per L to L per kg, which is (I believe) 1.136~ then multiply 1.136 by 1 029 000 to get 1 168 944

1,029 MT= 1,029,000 kg
Mass=Volume*Density => 1,029,000kg= voulme*0.88 => volume= 1,029,000/0.88 => volume= 1,169,318 liters (approx.) => 1,029 MT= 1.169 million liters |

Thats a good piece of information. but Can someone verify and let know if these figures are actually right.

Every figure except for the density is exact. Density of oils and biodiesel can vary somewhat, lot to lot, depending on oil source and processes in the refinery. Density should be measured (use a hydrometer) if any accuracy is desired; otherwise, assume it could vary a few percent.
