You have to know the density of your lot of oil. It can vary with product type and between refineries. Some typical values #1 (winter) diesel, 0.81 kg/L, #2 diesel, 0.85 kg/L, the heavy diesel used in large ships etc, 0.9-0.95 kg/L.

Because of the way the metric system scales, it would be the same numeric values in tons per cubic meter, #2 diesel is around 0.85 t/m³, but lot to lot, the 2nd digit can vary a unit or 2.

Would you know the conversion for one ton of liquefied natural gas (LNG) into cubic meters of gas (after re-gassification) ? I believe that the density of LNG is roughly 0.41 Kg/L to 0.5 Kg/L, and it is transported at about (-)162degrees Celsius.

Shall be obliged for the following conversion factors for LNG
1. Conversion for 1MM BTu to 1 cubic meter LNG
2. Conversion for 1 MM BTu to 1 Metric tonne LNG
