Hi,
I am wanting a conversion please in tons for 780 sq mtrs to be dug out at 150mm, so how much will that be in lorry loads away and also stone back in ready for tarmac.
This is for a Multi Use Games Arena in the UK

780 m x 0.15 m = 117 m "banked". The dirt when dug out will be loosened up and the stone will be delivered loose so expect an additional 10-15% volume loose. The density of dirt is HIGHLY variable depending on its composition and moisture content; I hesitate to guess the value. You may wish to weigh a sample of known volume. The stone is probably around 1.5 - 1.6 t/m if dry, approaching 2 t/m wet.
