To convert amount of substance (moles) to grams you have to know the molecular weight of the substance which is numerically equal to the molar mass in grams per moles. |

The 300 nmol on the vial refers to 300 nanomoles. There is no volume associated with that measurement. You will add water to reach a certain volume, at which time you will have a solution with a particular molarity.
If you have 300 nanomoles dissolved in 300 microliters, that is a 1 milliMolar solution. To determine what the concentration of the solution is in ng/ul, you will need the molecular mass of the Morpholino oligo (usually about 8200 Da for a 25-base Morpholino). Some Morpholino sequences can be difficult to dissolve completely, so be sure you have the oligo completely in solution. Heating and vortexing can help if an oligo is slow to dissolve. You can find some advice on dissolution and storage here on the Gene Tools website, in the Customer Support section, on the Downloads page. Look for "Notes on storage and lyophilization of Morpholinos" in section A. - Jon Moulton Gene Tools, LLC |
