Hi,
I am trying to convert a compound with a molecular weight of 94.20, of which I have a 1.046 g/mL solution, into a working stock of 100mM in a volume of 5 mls. Can someone help? |

Quote:
1) 100 mmol/L x 5 mL = 500 µmol 2) 500 µmol x 94.2 g/mol = 47.1 mg of the compound. 3) 47.1 mg x 1 mL/1.046 g = 45.03 µL Measure out 45.03 µL of the compound solution, dilute to 5 mL total volume in volumetric flask. |

Note: 1.046g/mL is a VERY concentrated solution. (1046g/L, 104.6%, 1,046,000ppm). Is this correct, or is it the density of the solution, not the concentration?
