how do I calculate the difference between a copper blood test reading of 169 ug/dL and 1.71 mcg/mL? Are they equal?

µg and mcg are proper and improper symbols for microgram, but the same. 1 dL = 100 mL, so a reading of 1.71 mcg/mL is 171µg/dL, essentially the same 169 µg/dL.
