Default Is age really nothing but a number?

Do any of you worry about getting older? Is age really just a number? What age do you consider to be too old? 30? 40? 50? How do you cope with the fact that you will have to age, wrinkle, and all of that? I worked in a retirement home and that has really changed my outlook about getting older.

Age IS only a number, you are only as old as you feel. I know people in there 60's and 70's that still go like crazy and work hard. Age doesn't seem to slow them down or bother them. So, yes i would say it is just a number.

Back when I was 18, I had a 38 year old girlfriend for awhile.

It made me super cool.

Age is a number. It's not an issue. Mentality, maturity, mindset.... those are issues that cause most human interaction problems.

its not just a number when some one is 80 and a bove years old i really think whatever you want to do with your self you need to have an age limit for it.even sports there is an age someone reaches and he is not a llowed to go on with that particular activity.you know what am saying ....but when it comes to love and age thats quite a defferent thing i think may be love knows no age.

No way! She was more than 2x your age!
Sometimes age is just a number, guess it depends on what your applying it to? I agree with previous posts, seems age effects people differently, physically and emotionally. Probably a combo of personal outlook, life experiences and genes.

I have a similar story; I had a 44 year old girlfriend when I was 22 (and 23).

I like the older women.

Thanks so much Blind_October and LadyLove I didn't expect to see any replies posted so soon.

I still have not made a decision as to what to do but your replies are here to refer back to and most kindly appreciated.

Maybe I should take all the advice you have given away with me ,go somewhere thats distant and think things through .

And Yes she is mature for her age ....it's only in a conversation I heard her have with a colleague that I became aware of her tender years.

Many Thanks

Dave.

Age is just a number. It is how you feel inside your heart and soul that matters. But when it comes to relationships and dating then age plays a significant role when picking a partner. There is such thing as too old like a 20 or 30 year age gap.
