Convert 100ths of an hour to minutes
Is this correct? I have a time card that shows the worker clocked in at 7:04 and clocked out at 11:74 using a time clock that uses hundredths of an hour instead of minutes. I figured this guys total time to be 4 hours & 42 minutes by multiplying the hundredths (4.7 hours worked, .7 hundredths) by .6 did I do this right? Thx.

Thats correct, 4 hours and 42 minutes. Though you multiply decimal hours by 60 to get minutes.
11.74 hours 7.04 hours = 4.7 hours 4 hours + 0.7 hours * 60 = 42 minutes

Re: Convert 100ths of an hour to minutes
Where I work, we use these decimalised time clocks. A one hundredth of an hour is exactly 36 seconds. So, 12:00 noon is, well, 1200 on the time clock. 1201 on the time clock is 12:00:36 on a real clock. It goes like this:
12:00:00 = 1200 12:00:36 = 1201 12:01:12 = 1202 12:01:48 = 1203 12:02:24 = 1204 12:03:00 = 1205 12:03:36 = 1206 12:04:12 = 1207 12:04:48 = 1208 12:05:24 = 1209 12:06:00 = 1210 Where I work, the time clocks selfreset to match an atomic clock in Kentucky and thanks to propagation delays in phone lines, are a consistent 2 seconds slow compared to a wristwatch that selfresets to the Bureau of Standards atomic clock in Colorado, which is rigged to a radio transmitter. I do have that type of watch, and I routinely take a lunch break that is 30 minutes and 35 seconds long! I even announce "Last 10 Seconds!" at the end of the day. We punch out at 1542 aka 3:25:12 PM (not counting the 2 seconds slow).

Re: Convert 100ths of an hour to minutes
0.36 h x 60 min/h = 21.6 min (21 min 36 sec)
