Asphalt recycle resurfacing

How do I convert 17,000 square feet into tons. We are going to pulverize 9"the entire area. Add Rebase and underseal and then apply 2" of asphalt to an existing public parking lot. How do I convert the the square feet to tons..... How do I include the other task? Need for a good bid estimate on project. Thank you. Need someone's help tonight.
