A yard is 3 feet, and square feet is worked out as length times width.
The square feet of fabric or leather you need is 18 feet, multiplied by the fabric width in feet.
For example, if the fabric is 24 inches (2 feet) wide, you have 18 x 2 feet, which means you need 36 square feet of fabric or leather.
Depending what shape your chair is, you might have quite a bit of leather as waste. Is there any way you can measure the area of each piece you need (seat, back, sides, rear etc)? - This might give you less wastage.
