1 metric ton = 1000 kg

Different oils have slightly different densities, but most vegetable oils have density in the range 0.88 - 0.92 kg/L

Dividing,
1000 kg / 0.92 kg/L = 1087 L
1000 kg/ 0.88 kg/L = 1136 L

A more precise answer is not possible unless you know the type of vegetable oil and its exact density. If you don't know, assume midrange and round off, around 1100 L.

Tonnes of feather, tonnes of lead, or something in between? Density matters.
