No, I used the "Pray for Pilgrim" approach. Pilgrim was the local nuclear power plant. When it was running my (preferred "all electric home") rate was $0.02/kWh. When Pilgrim was down, it was $0.03/kWh, a 50% increase (I used a LOT of kilowatt hours). I LOVED Pilgrim.

At one time the magnet trick worked because the spinning wheel was magnetic. Then they made the spinning wheel out of aluminum and well the jig was up.
