Default Re: converting scale measurements 1:250 to 1:200

Thanks

No Inches involved

There is no scale bar to refer to and its on reduced paper

The area on the plan shows following dimenions and we know the square area is 168 sq meters
it shows wide .1500 and long .7000

I have measured the width on another piece of the land showing on the plan(.1500) and its 6 meters

Using this as base

I can apply it to the piece mentioned .1500 by .7000

divide the 168 by 6 and find the lenght .7000 is 28 meters

so the piece in question is 6 meters by 28 meters and square ib 168 meters

Since we know .1500 on the plan is in fact 6 meters

can we work out as sliding scale

1 =

.1000 =
.2000 =
.3000 =
.4000 =
.5000 =
.6000 =
.7000 = 28 meters
.8000 =
.9000 =

.0100 =
.0200 =
.0300 =
.0400 =
.0500 =
.0600 =
.0700 =
.0800 =
.0900 =

.0050

.0010

and so on

Many thanks daith/david

Yes. I still don't know what units 0.15 is measured in, but it doesn't matter. If 0.15 whatevers represent 6 m, then multiply whatevers by 6 m/0.15 whatevers to get meters.

Default printing to scale

I have been asked to print a drawing to scale...it is 1/8" = 1 foot.... i understand what that means....just don't know if "print to scale" means to print the document to actual size?? or what... because if that is true then it is going to be HUGE!

How big is the part or project? 96 feet on the project is going to be 1 foot (12 inches) on the plan.

In Autocad drawing plans all the drawing is drawn 1:100. For example 20m x 10m building then you plot it with a large scale say 1:150 at A3 paper and seems that it occupies 1/2 of the paper space. The game play here is not the drawing plan you need to re-scale but the template or drawing boarder frame. Take note that the drawing in any paper size is maintained 1:100 scale. Like what i said if your scale is 1:150 then meant to say that your boarder frame is 1:150 but the drawing plan is 1:100, again the drawing plan must fit into the full scale size of your paper you are using. As mention above if the drawing plan occupies 1/2 or 50% of the paper space and your drawing text labels, dimensions appears small, then try to reduce your template from the original of 1:150 into 1:75. The factor how to reduce the size of template is 75/150=0.50. Go to command line in screen, scale(sc), select and highlight your drawing use your mouse, type scale factor 0.50 then press enter. Now your scale is 1:75. Move your drawing inside the frame then you notice it occupies the entire paper space within the template or boarder frame. Note the drawing is in auto cad model space screen mode.
