I don't get carried away with songs as well but I have a couple of girl friends who really get affected when they hear Adele's Rolling In The Deep for some reason. Though reading through the lyrics, I would assume that the tone of the whole song is about getting one over that other person who almost became yours but had to be taken aback for some other reason.

Also the titanic theme song is also good one in this category but I listen less sad song.
