I always forget they dont have Tim Hortons on the west side of the good old US of A. Yes Mrs. X, Tim Hortons official name (I think) is Tim Hortons Bake Shoppe.....imagine a low budget Penerra Bread I guess. And no Robert its not a thick black coffee that would make your toes curl! It is strong, but not in an offensive way, well not to me anyway, nothing like an espresso.
Short story, Dave Thomas met with Tim Horton who I believe was a canadian hockey player, they partnered up and brought Tim Hortons coffee shops across the border to the US. They have been coffee shop landmarks in Canada for quite some time. For the most part they seem to be doing well here, they also are direct competition for Dunkin Doghnuts as well. Great now I dont want my healthy water bottle sitting on my desk, I want to slither out of the office and make a coffee run!
