Convertion of metric ton to litres

i would like to know how many liters of oil in one mt(metric tons)
types of oil that i would like to convert:
IFO380
IFO180
MDO

i wanna to get the price for a litre of oil from a website, but they only show the price per mt, hope i can get some help here^.^

You need to know the density of the oil, which can vary lot to lot and should be measured for precision. MDO is heavier than #2 diesel, and around 0.9 kg/L, the other two are heavier yet approaching 0.99 kg/L (I can't find good density specs for any of them). A metric ton is just 1000 kg, so divide by the density.

For 0.9 kg/L, 1 ton = 1000 kg x 1 L/0.9 kg = 1110 L
For 0.99 kg/L, 1010 L

The first two are residual fuel oils and need to be heated to flow.

No, they do not. The industry is based on measured density when accurate mass to volume conversion is required. I found a spec from one company for MDO, 0.84 - 0.91 kg/L. If you plug that range in, 1 t can vary from 1099 to 1190 L. These heavy oils are specified primarily by viscosity, and represent a blend of different ranges of petroleum distallate plus residual fuel.

At best, expect plus or minus 5% around a "typical" value.

For accuracy, you need the density of the specific lot of oil. However, MGO is similar to #2 diesel, so 0.85 kg/L is probably a good "typical" value, therefore around 850 000 kg, or 850 t.

You should use density of this lot of diesel but using 0.85 t/m² as typical, 588 235 m³ or 588 235 000 L.
