    converting road base

    We are constructing trails and using road base by the ton. How many tons will it take to cover 8500 cubic yards.

    That depends on the density of the material. Without knowing the density of the road base we wont be able to calculate the weight to volume conversion.

    Can you weigh a known amount of it?

        if density of material is 2.43Mg/cum and volume is 45000 cum. what will be the weight of road base.

          109.4 Gg, just multiply and adjust prefix.
