Those are two different types of units, so you would need to know more information.

If you can post more information as to exactly what you are trying to do, I may be of more help.

      I have two pictures

      1) measuring 46 inches x 150 inches. Need to know how much would that be in square feet

      2) the other is measuring 248 inches x 168 inches. How much would that be in square feet

        46 inches * 150 inches = 6900 square inches
        6900 square inches / 144 = 47.9 square feet

        248 inches * 168 inches = 41664 square inches
        41664 square inches / 144 = 289.3 square feet

Hi Dean, is it a box? If so, do you need to know the surface area for wrapping it up or painting it, or do you need to know how much space it takes up (volume), ie for couriering it or filling it?

For volumes, multiply the three values together: 11/16 x 4 9/16 x 97. You can do that on the shape calulator on this site: Miscellaneous, Objects and Shapes, Object Volumes, Rectangular box. - Change the inches to decimals first (11/16 = 0.6875"), (4 9/16 = 4.5625") The answer is 304 1/4 cubic inches.

                    If you want to know the area, just work out the size of the six sides and add them together: (2 x 97 x 4.5625) + (2 x 97 x 0.6875) + (2 x 4.5625 x 0.6875) = 139 11/16 square inches.

                    Hope this helps.

Multiply the three together, but they all need to be in the same unit. If the "600" is mm, then the calculation is:

                      14 x 1 x 0.6 = 8.4m³

I've added a "notice" before a guest posts a question, asking them to start a new thread for each question.

Maybe things will be a little less confusing to us if all questions have their own thread.

Thanks, that sounds good. Can guests still post in their original thread so they can give further information?

Guests can still do exactly the same things as before, I just posted a notice to try and convince them that starting a new thread for each new question is best.
