I have a client looking for a length and using the abbreviation ML. Can anyone tell me what measurement ML is?

ML is the symbol for the megaliter, a unit of volume not length.
What is in in relation to? Pipes? What country is your client in? That may help track it down.

ML is infact the abbreviation for the Mega Litre...a unit of volume...are we using this symbol for a drilling op? That could be the reason...pipes are sometimes measured in volume rather than distance.:)

If it is indeed the volume of the pipe, I can help convert that to length by knowing the inside diameter of the pipe.

Using a lowercase m it stands for the prefix milli, but using the uppercase M it would stand for the prefix mega.
The symbol for liter can be either uppercase L or lowercase l.
