I am in the military and moving summer 2006. I have a weight limit of 13,500lbs for my houshold goods. I also have a weight calculator (in the form of a spreadsheet) to determine weight of certain items (i.e. sofa's, desk etc....) It uses Cu Ft of an item to determine approx weight of something. I have found out this sheet is out-dated with some of todays items and want to update it? Any ideas?

I searched but could not find anything at all.
Is it very far off? You could probably just use it as is since it is just an approximation.

to convert mass to volume.
unit for mass: kg, lb (pounds), grams
unit for volume: cu ft, cu meter, cu cm, etc...
to convert mass to volume you need density !
density is a ratio of mass per volume. kg/cu m, kg/ cu ft... etc.
example: a ref weighs 30 lb per cu ft. and the total weight of a ref is 300 lb. what is the volume of the ref?
volume = 300 lb / 30 lb per cu ft.
= 10 cu ft
