How do I convert liters to inches? I can convert from Liters to Cubic Inches, but then need from Cubic inches to straight height or inches.

If you take cubic inches, divide it by the area in square inches, you will be left with the height in inches.
volume / area = height
or
volume / (length * width) = height
As long as all units use the same base unit, the result will be correct. For example, volume in cubic inches, length in inches, etc. If you measure the volume in cubic inches and the area in square feet, the result will not be correct.
