Hi, this is a tricky one.
Square meters is an area measurement. It means an area with sides of length 18m x 1m, or an area with sides of length 6m x 3m. Cubic feet is a volume measurement, and is not comparable.
However, if you have an area of sand that covers 18 square meters, it will also have a depth, which gives you a volume.
If your depth is 20cm, then you can calculate the volume by converting all measurements to the same unit, in this case meters. The volume is 18 x 0.2 = 3.6 cubic meters.
You can use these conversion pages to convert cubic meters to cubic feet.
Is this what you wanted to know?
