Concrete has a density of about 2.4 (dry). This means that one ton (1000kg) has a volume of 0.417cubic meter (417L)
1/2.4 = 0.416666666
1 cubic meter would weigh 2.4 tons (2400kg).

You need to post the substance. Every substance has a different weight to volume conversion factor.

I also have a conversion question:
100,000 cubic metres per year of timber products (wood/pulp) to metric tonnes per day
Any help would be appreicated

Per this source, http://rcrec-ona.ifas.ufl.edu/mol.pdf
cane or beet molasses has a specific gravity around 1.41, or 1.41 t/m³. Thus 1 metric ton (tonne) is about 0.709 m² or 709 L. But you should get a density for the spoecific molasses in question as it varies.

How contaminated is the water? If I assume the density of water isn't changed much, water is 1 t/m³, hence 4000 t (metric ton); for US ton, roughly 1.1 times that.

Please help me, a quote give to me by a landscape professional states to remove 100m3 of soil/dirt from my land. Please convert it to ton....Thanks.
Two problems:
*The density varies tremendously with moisture content and with composition (sand, clay, small rocks, organic content in topsoil)
*The density is different "banked" (in the ground) and "loose" (dug up, in the truck).
Very roughly 2 t/m³, but this can vary all over the place
Banked: 1.6 - 2.7 t/m³
Loose: 1.2 - 1.8 t/m³
If you can describe your soil better, I may be able to relate it to a category on a materials density sheet I have and narrow the numbers.

1 cubic meter asphalt how much ton
Metric ton (tonne)? Short ton?
Depends on the mix design and compaction. On average, most hot mix asphalt is compacted to approximately 150 lb/ft3, which is 2403 kg/m3, so:
2.4 t/m3 (tonne)
2.65 tons/m3 (2000 pound (short) ton)

In the US and Canada, LPG is at least 95% propane, and density is about 0.51 kg/L; this is also 0.51 t/m³, so 1 metric ton is about 1.96 m³.
In some other parts of the world, LPG is often a seasonal mix of propane and butane to reduce pressure in the container, generally somewhere between "mostly propane" (as above) and a 50/50 mix, which might have a density around 0.55 kg/L or 1.82 m³/t. You'd have to know the mix in this case.

You need to know the density of the wood which can vary from very light (bamboo) to heavier than water (lignum vitae). You also need to know the moisture content of the wood, which affects density.
Finally, is it logs (which have air spaces between them) or is it sawn timber which stacks well with negligible space between boards.
Depending on these answers it could vary from around 0.2 to 1.3 t/m³

whast is the weight of 1 cubic metre of lime stone in ton having bulk dencity 1.6.
Density has units. Assuming the units are t/m³ (seems likely), then 1.6 t.

It depends on the mix design and compaction requirements. For typical state mix designs, approximately 2.4 t/m3. This is for in-place, compacted material. Note the word "approximately".

Fly-ash as an admixture maybe. Weight depends on the mix design. You need to contact a concrete company in your area, give them the specs for your job and let them give you a quote and weight on a suitable mix design.

for oil... 1 ton to cubic meters ? helpp please
Depends on the density of the oil
For density 800 kg/m³, 1 t x 1 m³/0.8 t = 1.25 m³
for density 900 kg/m³, 1 t x 1 m³/0.9 t = 1.11 m³
