Acres and Depth to Cubic Yards?

Actually, I am reading a report that shows these figures and I wonder how they got there. They also showd that 36 inches converted to 66,550 cubic yards. I think I did this type of conversion back in college but forget how.

I have 55 acres and 8 inches of depth, and want to convert this to cubic yards? I know the answer is 44,367 cubic yards, but I don't know how to get there. (55 acres = 266,200 sq yards; 8 inches = 0.222 yards).

The Formula would be:

Volume = Area * Height

Assuming all the base units are the same, we work it out as such:

8 inch = 0.222222222222222 yard
55 acre = 266,200 square yard

266,200 square yards * 0.222222222222222 yards = 59,155.56 cubic yards
