I need help converting Tensile Strength and Elongation values for sheet metal, type 3cr12. For the Tensile Strength I am going from ksi to N/mm2. The Elongation is a little more confusing, the material value properties that I have is % 18 to 20 and looking for a value in N/mm2. The metric value for Elongation is described a E-Module.

The tensile strength conversion is easy enough, as the units you list are units of pressure, and you can find them on the pressure conversion page here: http://www.onlineconversion.com/pressure.htm
ksi stands for kips/square inch
N/mm˛ stands for newtons/square millimeter
1 kip/square inch = 6.894 757 28 newton/square millimeter
The elongation conversion will be tougher. When I searched Google, the first link returned was actually your question in this forum, so there is very little out there on it.
I found a link to graphical information program here:
http://www-materials.eng.cam.ac.uk/mpsite/interactive_charts/strength-ductility/IEChart.html
It doesn't answer your conversion question, but they do seem to know about it, so possibly contacting the webmaster there will get your question answered.

The elongation is allways given in %. The important thing is to know the original length for calculating elongation. 5 times diameter or 10 times diameter etc. Otherwise you can not compare the values. E-Modul is young's modulus.

You should also watch out, as your proff stress changes
