If
d2 = 14.446mm2
d = 120mm
but how do we get there?

Hi, I'm not sure if you are measuring d squared (dxd), or differentiating (Dx by Dd), or doubling (d x 2). Depth is one dimentional, so the numbers you have given don't seem to be for the same depth? What are you measuring? -Mrs X

Yes we would need additional information on exactly what you are trying to do.
if d2 = 14.446 then d = 3.8
