How does everyone feel about Miss America being given a second chance to keep her crown after being caught doing drugs and drinking wildly at a night club? Rosie O'Donnell has stirred up quite the controversy with Donald Trump over this situation. Do you think that Donald trump did the right thing by letting Miss America keep her crown?

Drugs. No way. Kick her in her loser arse.

Anything that makes Rosie O'Donnell mad is ok with me. I don't like her and was upset that she was put on the View. I stopped watching the show. I thought it was mean to put her on a daytime show. She needs to get cleaned up both physically and mentally. She was probably the mean kid on the playground when she was in school. Her thing for adoption is off too, can you imagine a child being raised by her. I hope Donald Trump wins the little fight. Rosie needs to learn a good lesson.

I think Donald or Rosie should be picking on each others looks. Their fighting seems to be a lot of putting down each other on how ugly the other is. Neither of them rate higher than a 1 on a scale of 10, and here they are picking on each other about their looks? Makes no sense, like a snail picking on a turtle for being slow.

And even funnier, both have gorgeous girlfriends. Pretty girls must find money and fame attractive, in their case anyways.

Oh thats funny, LOL
I don't know the specifics on what she did, but I would have thought peoples backgrounds would be researched before they even got into the contest in the 1st place. Seems to me this behavior (whatever it is) is probably not new.

I don't care much for the "girls-gone-wild" type of girl, but they can trick themselves out for the profit of men if they want. If I saw Miss America acting that way I would just move along.

But remove her crown??? Absolutely I would. Because its the advertisers (like MADD) who pay the bills and no doubt a girl like that is a poor choice for those type of sponsors.

My biggest complaint about all of it though, is how Donald Trump and Rosie are acting. Certainly its not like grownups act.

I never heard anything about her doing drugs. All I heard was the party thing. All I really heard much about was the fight between Rosie O'donnel and Donald Trump. Rosie is a mean person by nature, so I would side with anyone that would fight her. :)
Kindof a good verses evil thing, but in this case bad verses worse.

Kindof a good verses evil thing, but in this case bad verses worse.Yes, she was caught snorting heroin at the same night club where she was caught kissing Miss Teen USA.

I really like Rose O'Donnell because she is strong and opinionated (she makes sense) and I see nothing wrong with her statements toward Doanld Trump [about giving Miss USA a secoind chance]. I do not think that Donald should have given Miss USA another chance simply because she knew the rules of the pagent BEFORE entering. Being a good role model and polished woman is what is expected of a MISS USA winner. It has been that way since forever and will stay that way. Why shold the rules change for this dumb young girl? I mean, Vanessa Williams had her crown taken away for posing nude in Playboy. To me, that isn't anything compared to what this girl was caught doing.

I admit that the feud between RO and DT got outta hand with name calling and looks bashing BUT I agree with Rosie: Miss USA should not have gotten a second chance. She's a bad example for young girls AND her actions prove that she wasn't ready for the crown.

during the pageant, all the girls are incredibly fake. i don't want to see them walking around in bathing suits or night clothes or in those business dress things. i want to see them during a normal day having fun. THAT'S when you see the real people under makeup and hair prducts.

That is one of the reasons that I don't watch beauty pageants. It all started to get too phony. Years ago I used to be so impressed, but after awhile it just was all about the hair, makeup, and bathing suit. The talent part isn't as important or they used to have the thing with the lifes goals. The best pageant winner was Nicole Johnson Baker. she's now on the DLife show on sundays. That is a show about managing diabetes. :)

i think the worst part about the pageants when i watched them was not the bathing suits or evening gowns, it was the part when they announce the winner and the girl has wide eyes O.O and the girl that's the runner up fake smiles and the winner starts CRYING =*( and everyone cheers for a girl that probably won't even make through the 1ST round of miss universe. the whole thing makes sick.:p

LadyLove

I agree that the swmsuit round and the fake glamour of pageants is extremely overrated and quite unnecessary. Maybe in the future those parts will be illuminated and new categories will be placed, categories that will benefit the competition as well as the women.

But this new Miss America is a very bad example. And all the glitz and glamour cannot take away what she has done.

LOL....I say refund...she does not deserve to be Miss America...what an
embaressment to the pagent industry. They already get so much bad publicity for their pagent these days. I am not a fan, but I think if they are going to continue to promote and produce a Miss America she better be a good example.

As for Rosie and Donald I just laugh...they both need to grow up...but the drama is good for the rest of us.

NEW INFO!!!
I saw about an hr. ago that Miss America got an offer to be on the cover of Playboy (not naked) and Trump is CONSIDERING IT!!! THAT'S A DISGRACE!!!! really, people get in an uproar (including Rosie) about her club thing and now he's considering letting her on PLAYBOY?!? wow. Trump's losing his touch. if I was him I would have said 'you're fired' right after the 1st strike. he calls it 'Playboy light' since she's not naked but it still isn't an excuse. what do yuo guys think?

Amanda
01-05-2007, 07:27 PM
I think she should turn down the offer from Playboy. She would be such a bad role model if she did that. She's already bad enough.

luckyfelix
01-05-2007, 07:30 PM
i thought it was a bit ironic really because she was good then bad so they put her into rehab. now, she's almost out and good and then going bad on Playboy. she should've been out by now. so should Trump.

Robert Fogt
01-05-2007, 11:43 PM
Being on Playboy should not be considered bad. Even stripping is considered a decent profession nowadays. And playboy is the mildest of the nudie magazines.

Also, Trump is into the pretty young girls. Thats who he dates, and marries.

But its true that the pagent is about wholesome family values, so she should have been fired and he should refuse the Playboy pic simply because they are not the image the pagents are trying to show.

Could be a money thing, viewers are down so he stirs up these things.

LadyLove
01-06-2007, 02:25 AM
I think that Trump, himself, is a bad role model. He has done some slimey things so its no surprise that his morals are and standards are backwards. I mean, he told a news reporter that if his daughter wasnt related to him, he'd like to date her because she is hot. Um, that is way gross and not a way to compliment your daughter. Yuck! The guy is a pig. And giving Miss America a second chance was a huge mistake. I feel that she is only going to get into worse trouble.

Ya'll do understand that this is the MISS USA system and not MISS AMERICA? Miss America is a very different system that provides the largest amount of scholorships to women in the united states. Miss USA is not the same as Miss America.

TO ALL PEOPLE ON THIS CHAT PAGE:

YOU ARE WRONG.

It was Miss USA who was caught DRINKING (not doing drugs) with Miss Teen USA and Miss Universe. (If you don't believe me, you can look on encyclopedia.com) And yes, she did kiss Miss Teen USA.

There is a HUGE difference between Miss USA and Miss America.

Miss America rocks.

Miss USA should've been decrowned, along with Miss Teen USA. They are both poor role models for young women.

End of story.

Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, and Miss America ALL have to be role models and should be good influences for younger women and girls out there. Everyone knows that girls in these pageants have to be clean cut, well mannered, and drug/alcohol free. It has been that way since the pageant began. So why should Miss USA be excused?

ok we get the point. sorry for not get the facts straight. miss usa is bad as well as teen usa. there was no drugs, just drinking and kissing. we'll continue from there. thank you for correcting us before the world imploded from our stupidity.
Yes, there was drugs involved with Miss USA. She was caught with cocaine at a night club.

Regardless, all women in pageants have to be a good role model for the younger generations. Being drug/alcohol free is a must!!!

Frankly I don't care if it was Miss USA, Miss America, Miss Teen USA or the president of the United States. If you want to be a public role model in a position of influence you must behave and set a good example for the rest of society.

Anyway I agree, things like these pageants are to show off the best of the best, including the best morality possible. They seem to be doing a very poor job considering, think the runners up would do better? Heck Yeah! They can't wait to get their chances.

I think that the girls gone wild series is overrated. What Miss USA did to look "cool" has been done so many times before by other people who want to be wild. Kissing girls is big on "Girls Gone Wild". She isnt the first party girl to walk the planet. I just think that she did all of this to party with rock stars and celebs. The night she was caught drinking she was with Tommy Lee.

Maybe she suffers from low self esteem.

The creator of Girls Gone Wild was interviewed on The Tyra Banks Show. They showed plenty of clips which was just about a bunch of drunk girls flashing their tits. My friend's brother collects all those videos. He seems to like them, probably because it is XX rated. I dont know if it is XXX but I am aware that there is nudity and lots of lesbian action. The women behave with no class or self respect. But no, I have never watched an actual disc nor do I want to. I have only seen what was on Tyra and on the infomercials selling that garbage.

It's so funny because you never hear about the girls that started this, only the Donald vs Rosie. I don't really like either of them, but I do dislike Rosie the most. Hopefully they will kick her off the view, I refuse to watch anything that has Rosie. She is so mean, with such a terrible personality I really can't understand why they would put her on tv again. I bet she never had any friends growing up, who could stand to be around her. Maybe she never learned to play well with others.

Since Donald "owns" the pagent then it is ultimately up to him whether the girl stays or not. Sad but true.

We may have grown up with the pagent and think of it as a community thing, but once it was sold to Donald that is no longer the case. It used to be that if we disliked it we could have sent letters or called the network and boycotted their sponsors until they fixed things. Donald doesn't care about that.

The woman who was given a second chance by Donald trump was on Tyra today (Tara O' Connor?). She discussed her "addiction" and struggles while in rehab. She will pass on her crown tonight to the next Miss USA 2007. Did anyone watch her interview? She did not seem very sincere about her mistakes. I just wonder if she really learned anything from it all. She claims to have beena coke addict since the age of 18!
