On a diffeent note, what is/are "The ides of March" ? Never mind I Googled it. Seems in the Roman calendar it is the 15th of March. The term "ides" was used for 15th day of the month. :)

I hope it mentioned Julius Caesar was assassinated on the Ides of March in the Senate in 44 BC. In Shakespeare's play, this was foretold with line "Beware the Ides of march."
On a calendar note, the Romans didn't count days up like we do. They counted down to the next Kalends, Nones, and Ides. The Kalend was the 1 st of the month, the Nones and Ides were the 7th and 13th of short months and the 9th and 15th of 31-day months. The custom was apparently a hold-over from some prior lunar calendar, but after Caesar's new calendar was adopted, had no relation to moon phases.
