Well we had another mandatory evacuation for my neighborhood again because of flooding. Everything is fine so far, just a precaution I guess.
Before it flooded once every 20 years, now it has happened every year for the last 3 years, and only a couple months since the last time. Darn global warming I guess.
Luckily my house is very new and its a planned community with flood ditches and whatnot.

That must be a pain! Any idea how long it'll be before you can return home (assuming the evacuation is still in effect), or do ya just wait and see?
Hope all goes well and nothing serious comes of it.

The police came door to door and told everyone to leave, I didnt actually leave. The only road in is covered with 2 feet of water, so couldnt leave now if I wanted to.
The temperature dropped in the mountains so it really helped alot, we should be dry in 24 hours or so.

If the police go door to door asking people to leave you should really leave next time. If you only have 1 road into your area it could be really dangerous to stay during a flood.

How much rain have you guys had? - It sounds bad. Robert did you get water in your house?   - I'm a bit phobic about flooding, and will only live on hills, lol. We'd need Noah if we were going to flood where we are now.:o

I was fine, even though I was in the flood zone near the river I am better off then people far away.
All the storm drains in the area drain into the puyallup river, and when the river got really high all the drains were covered and the town flooded when the storm drains quit working. But the river never actually flooded so I was fine.
This time the rain was not the main problem. Some sort of tropical warm rain storm swept up into the mountains and melted all the snow and hit the rivers really hard.
